Today's Choice for Tomorrow's Future

Assistant Principal

I was born and raised in Iowa where I graduated from Simpson College with a degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Early Childhood Education and Reading.  After teaching in Iowa and Connecticut for 6 years, I moved to Florida with my family and have been teaching in Lake County for over 9 years.  I received my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Stetson University in 2009.  After educational experiences ranging from kindergarten to Algebra 1 and from reading support to gifted education, I chose to extend my experiences to administration in 2016.

I am honored to serve Umatilla Elementary students, teachers, family, and community.  I am excited to share my passion for education with the dedicated and caring teachers and staff at UES. With everyone’s continued support and commitment, our students will reach their full potential and be lifelong learners.
